Over 1,000 cadistas made the hour long trip to Sevilla for the first derby of the season. Despite another great performance from Armando, a first missed penalty from Abraham Paz in three years left the cadistas feeling they could have taken three vital points from this tricky away fixture. Enrique won the penalty after a foul from David in the first half, and speaking after the game, some Cadiz players felt the Sevilla defender was lucky to stay on the pitch after the foul. Sevilla improved in the second half, but still found no way past the as always reliable Armando.
