Team news this week sees Vella return after injury to replace Velazquez at right back, Fleurquin replaces Bezares, who drops to the bench, Nano replaces the injured Pavoni and De Paula starts in place of Acuņa, who drops to the bench.

The game started with the home side looking the more likely to take control although the match lacked any rhythym. After the initial scrappy first 10 minutes Cadiz started playing with more control and purpose and were the first to get a shot on goal. It came in the fourteenth minute from Pablo, who collected the ball weaved his way past players and sent in a great shot on goal that Kike, in the Ejido goal, did well to tip the ball wide for a corner. Within minutes los amarillos had another four clear cut chances to open the scoring from Caneda, De Quintana, Fleurquin, from a free kick and again from Pablo, after good play from Nano but they were unable to break the deadlock. It wasn't until just before half time that Ejido troubled the Cadiz goal and it was an effort from Pedro Vega, who hooked the ball goalwards from the edge of the area forcing Armando to pull off a great save. The home side then had a number of corners in quick succession, which troubled the Cadiz defence but they held out until half time with the score remaining at 0-0.

The second half started in the same way as the first with the home side quickly out of the blocks looking to intimidate and dominate the visitors. It didn't take long for Cadiz to silence the small crowd when in the 54th minute los amarillos were awarded a free kick at least 40 yards from goal. Up stepped Miguel Garcia who fired the ball into the home area only to see, in all the confusion, the ball go straight past the keeper and into the net to open the scoring for the visitors. This goal forced Ejido forward which created more space for Cadiz to counter attack swiftly and on one of these occasions the ball went to Pablo down the right wing whose cross into the box clearly hit the hand of Tena. Either the referee didn't see it or decided it was accidental because he waved play on with the visiting players and fans shouting for a penalty. Both sides had chances to score with Sesma, who had come on for Nano, having the best chance for Cadiz when he found himself with only the keeper to beat but his goal bound effort cannoned off the body of Kike to safety. The be3st chance for Ejido came from the boot of Paco Esteban who shot from outside the area but saw his effort well tipped to safety by Armando.

Polideportivo Ejido continued pressing looking to get back on terms with Cadiz but without any clear chances and without causing Armando too many problems and the visitors were able to hold on to their lead until the final whistle to take the well earned three points.

The next game for Cadiz is the big local derby against Xerez at the Carranza, which will be kicking off at 17.30 on Sunday 6th May.
