The first one forced on Calderon when Contreras picked up an injury in the final training session on Friday, which sees Limia start between the sticks for the first time this season and a desperate call to bring the Cadiz B keeper, David, over to join the first team squad as reserve to Limia. Cristian returns at right back after injury, with Gonzalo Vicente relegated to the subs bench. In midfield Kosowski starts on the right wing replacing the suspended Enrique and Miguel Garcia starts alongside Fleurquin with Bezares on the bench.

After last weeks victory in the Ramon de Carranza and a leap of four league places hopes were high that Cadiz would pick up more good points against a lowly Las Palmas, who at the start of the day were in the relegation zone. It was clear from the start what the home teams tactics were, this was to bypass the midfield and play the long ball over the top for their forwards Adrian and Marquez to run onto but the Cadiz defense were more than able to deal with this style of play. On the other hand Cadiz were the team playing the football with Kosowski and Gustavo Lopez being brought into the play whenever possible. In the 8th minute of the game came the first shot effort from Cadiz and it came from Natalio. Good work from Bangoura on the edge of the box with three defenders around him allowed him to slip the ball back to Natalio on the edge of the box but his right foot effort was high of the mark. From the home team Aleman had a left foot shot that Limia had to deal with down near the near post. As has been the case in most games this season Cadiz looked to be in control but were unable to break down the opposition, whilst most of the danger from Las Palmas was coming from dead ball situations but again without causing too many concerns for Limia. In the 39th minute Trashorras had an effort from just outside the box that flew just wide of the mark and then just three minutes later the home team were ahead. This time it was an excellent passage of play that started in their own half on the right and then across the pitch to the left where the ball was collected near half way by Cristian Fernandez, the left back, who went on a storming run down the wing before clipping a great ball into the center of the area where Adrian leapt first and guided the ball past Limia and into the net to make it 1-0. There was still time in the half for Cadiz to try and get back on terms but Bangouras effort from Kosowskis cross was easily dealt with by the Las Palmas defense.

FotoAt the start of the second half Cadiz came out strongly looking to get back on terms but efforts from Miguel Garcia and Fleurquin were easily collected by Santamaria, the Las Palmas keeper. Whilst at the other end Cristian Fernandez came closest with an effort from a free kick that went over the whole defense to the back post where the left back stole in to nod the ball just outside the frame of the goal. With almost an hour played both managers made changes with Calderon putting on a more offensive look to the team with Casas and Nano going on for Kosowski and Garcia, whilst the Las Palmas manager put on a couple of more defensive players and was clearly looking to try and hold on to the lead that they had. Shortly after the substitutions Casas had a great chance to equalise but his effort from Natalios centre was wide of the mark. Just two minutes later and the game was all over for los amarillos when, with just ten men on the field, as Darino was being treated off the pitch, they won a corner on the right. Trashorras put the ball over and it flew to the centre of the area where Cristian Fernandez, who had looked dangerous all day, leapt highest to head the ball wide of Limia to make it 2-0 to the home team. With a two goal lead Las Palmas shut up shop completely and despite all their efforts Cadiz were unable to create any further clear cut chances and the game fizzled out to end 2-0 to Las Palmas.
