FotoThe only change to the line up this week sees Bezares come in for the side-lined Fleurquin.

There seemed little danger from the cross field ball over to near the right hand side of the Cadiz box in the fourth minute but the ball hit Cristian as he was running back and bounced behind him to just outside the area. He then slipped as he tried to turn quickly to recover the position, which allowed Arteaga to just get to the ball before he was clattered by Cristian and Kosowski to give the home side the first free kick in a very dangerous position. With Contreras guarding the left post and the Cadiz wall covering the other side all looked safe but Alvarez clipped a super right foot effort over the wall and in by the right post with Contreras well beaten to make it 1-0 to Cordoba. In the 13th minute Pineda beat the offside trap and raced on to the ball with De la Cuesta trying to make up ground behind him. As he entered the box with just Contreras to beat he fired a shot off but it was straight at the keeper and it bounced off Contreras and behind for a corner to Cordoba. Then in a disastrous 8 minutes Antonio Calderon was forced to make changes when firstly Rivas had to go off in the 25th minute, after taking a knock, to be replaced by Parri and then in the 33rd minute Cristian collapsed near the halfway line clutching his right thigh and he also had to go off to be replaced by Raul Lopez, who took up his usual position at left back with Gonzalo Vicente moving over to cover the right back position. In the 38th minute came Cadiz' best effort of the half so far when Natalio tried to chip the keeper but he was well short and the ball was easily gathered by Iglesias. A couple of minutes later and a hopeful cross into the centre evaded De la Cuesta and found its way to Pineda, who appeared to be slightly offside, but he managed to control the ball well and was strong enough to keep upright under Vicentes last ditch effort to hook the ball away and he had no trouble in then slotting the ball past the helpless Contreras to put the home team 2-0 up and looking safe for all three points. However with just a couple of minutes to go before half time good work between Bezares and Kosowski down the right flank ended with Kosowski passing the ball to the left hand side of the box to Natalio, who slipped the ball to his left to evade the keepers charge and then slot the ball home from a narrow angle to make it 2-1 and bring Cadiz back into the game at half time.

FotoWith the rain pouring down at the start of the second half Cadiz came out looking to get back on terms as soon as possible and within seconds Kosowski went down in the box after a challenge from Reyes and shouted for a penalty but the referee waved play on. In the 48th minute Iglesias was again called into action when he had to fling himself to his left to save a Parri free kick from 20 yards out. In the 56th minute and De la Cuesta got himself into all sorts of trouble as he tried to play out of defense on the edge of the box but fortunately the referee decided that one of the opposition fouled him and blew for a free kick to enable Cadiz to clear their lines. A minute later and the ball was up the other end and found its way back from the area into the path of Vicente on the right who pounced on the loose ball and fired in a tremendous effort from all of 30 yards that the keeper managed to block and then pounce on the ball as it ran loose before Natalio could reach it. In the 61st minute Parri back heeled a free kick into the path of Gustavo Lopez who fired in another left foot shot from 30 yards out that skidded through towards goal but the keeper went down well and gathered the effort in. Most of the pressure was coming from los amarillos but they had a shock in the 71st minute when Asen had a great right foot shot that flew just over the Cadiz bar with Contreras looking on. A couple of minutes after that chance and Cadiz were back on terms. Parri flung in a free kick to the edge of the box that skidded and rebounded through to the penalty spot where De la Cuesta was first to react and latch on to the loose ball firing in a right foot shot past the keeper to make it 2-2. This spurred Cadiz on and within two minutes of the equalizer Bangoura headed the ball on into the path of Natalio, who was running into the area. Just as he was getting the ball under control Pierini powered in and booted the ball away. A minute later and Enrique, who had come on for Gustavo Lopez, played the ball down the right flank into the path of Vicente, who powered into the box and squared the ball to Natalio but his effort cannoned off a defender and away to safety. Cadiz could easily have taken all three points against Cordoba but after going two down and with the injuries to Rivas and Cristian, they can be satisfied with earning a point against their Andalucian rivals in Cordoba.
