The only two changes from the starting line up last week sees Ormazabal return to midfield to replace the suspended Fleurquin, whilst upfront Toedtli returns after his three game absence through injury. As was expected against their local rivals Cadiz started powerfully playing the sort of attacking football at speed that saw them dominate the early part of the season but which has been so lacking in the last few games. Within three minutes they were already one up when Ormazabal played the ball out to Enrique who passed it back to Cristian and the right back crossed to the near post where Toedtli met it and powerfully headed the ball home. Within ten minutes and the lead had doubled and again it was Ormazabal who orchestrated it. He powered through from midfield to intercept a ball and rushed into the San Fernando area with just Iglesias, the visiting keeper to beat, but the keeper managed to block his effort and the ball ran free to the edge of the area where the impressive Lopez Silva collected it, he turned a defender and then tried to chip the ball in but again Iglesias managed to get a hand to save the effort but the ball went to Ormazabal who had no trouble in nodding the ball home. With Cadiz in full attacking mode it seems that the defense tend to lose concentration and just two minutes after going 2-0 up the lead was back to just the one goal when Marco put the ball over the defence where the nippy Casares beat Delgado to the ball and slotted it past Casilla. This set back didn't slow the rampant amarillos as they powered forward and Fragoso fired in a low shot from outside the area that beat Iglesias but slammed into the post and away to safety, this was followed by a third goal being disallowed for offside after a quick free kick taken by Lopez Silva to Fran Cortes whose cross was nodded in. Then Enrique raced on to a chip through with just the keeper to beat but his attempted lob was too high and over the bar but a couple of minutes later he  was found by Cristian on the edge of the area and this time he made no mistake to make it 3-1 to los amarillos. The whole stadium was in Carnaval mode, although a couple of weeks early, with the football that was being played before them and surely there were going to be yet more goals before half time. Toedtli raced through on to a ball some 30 yards out just beating Iglesias to it but he could only glance it past the keeper and guide the ball goalwards but as the ball rolled towards the open net a defender was able to get back and clear the danger. This was followed shortly after by a great effort from Lopez Silva that skimmed off the bar before being finally cleared and the first half ended 3-1.

Just five minutes into the second half the highly influential Fran Cortes was substituted with a recurrence of his knee problem and suddenly Cadiz seemed to lose their way a bit allowing San Fernando more into the game and just two minutes after the substitution Mansilla was adjudged to have fouled just outside the Cadiz box and Guerrero fired in the free kick that deflected off the Cadiz wall and past the helpless Casilla to make it 3-2 and the game became a bit scrappy and the final passes started going astray. Then in the 69th minute when Lopez Silva was substituted for new signing Alvaro the cadistas seemed very surprised at the decision at the left winger had caused all sorts of problems for the visitors and been one of the best players on the pitch. However the visitors were then reduced to ten men when Casabella collected a second yellow card after pulling back Ormazabal as he broke forward. Shortly before being substituted Toedtli took a free kick from the edge of the San Fernando box that Iglesias had to dive to his left to tip behind. In the final fifteen minutes or so the Cadiz that had started so brightly returned and the attacking passages of play were a delight to behold. In the 74th minute the Romanian Rosu fired in a great left footed volley from the edge of the area after the ball came out after a Cristian corner  to make it 4-2 and ease the nerves of the cadistas. With just six minutes left a great move down the left between Alvaro, Rosu and Raul Lopez found the Cadiz left back bursting free to square the ball to Rubiato who guided the ball beyond Iglesias to make it 5-2. To cap a wonderful afternoon of football at the Carranza with the final kick of the game the ball was played forwrd to Rosu on the edge of the area with his back to goal, he took one touch to guide the ball to his left and then turned and fired in another great left footed volley beyond Iglesias to make the final score 6-2.
