Team news this week sees Diego Rivas return after injury and Gustavo Lopez return after suspension with Enrique and Parri dropping to the bench. Up front sees recent new signing, Bangoura, starting his first game for Cadiz with Dani moving to the bench.

This contest was always going to be a tough encounter with the home team running into some good form of late and now on the same points as Cadiz, and just one place ahead in the table on goal difference. From the first whistle Salamanca were looking for a quick goal and they almost found it when after just one minute Torres fired a strong shot that flew into the side netting of Contreras' goal. Following this early scare Cadiz started to get into the game playing long balls up to Bangoura who was showing good strength in holding the ball or knocking it to Natalio and Gustavo Lopez. Both sides seemed to nullify each other and during the first half, apart from the initial shot, there were very few goal scoring opportunities and no clear cut chances until on the stroke of half time when Natalio made a great break through the home defense and squared the ball across goal into the path of Bangoura, who slotted the ball into the net with the keeper trying desperately to get back into a position to save the effort.

The second half found Cadiz playing on the back foot trying to maintain their lead with Diego Rivas playing just in front of the back four and just behind Fleurquin and Miguel Garcia in the middle of the park. As the time was ticking on it looked as if los amarillos were going to succeed in keeping the lead and take the three points. But with just seconds left on the clock Salamanca burst forward down the left and Lopez clipped a centre over near the penalty spot, where Rodriguez was running in and powerfully headed the ball past the despairing dive of Contreras to make it one all. With no time left to try and score again that was how the match ended.
