With Cifu suspended Jaume Costa starts in the left back position and other than that the team is the same as started last week. As things turned out a quite incredible match tonight was played out in front of a deserted Tribuna as it is being prepared for redevelopment. The visitors started strongly with los amarillos looking very lack lustre and unable to cope with the play of Levante. Unlike normal when Cadiz power forward right from the first whistle tonight it wasn't until the 10th minute that they got anywhere near the goal defended by Manu, the Levante keeper, and that was through a marauding Cristian, although his effort didn't cause any problems on the Levante goal. At the other end after just five minutes the visitors had their first chance from a free kick outside the area that Ruben fired off target but the signs were there for all to see and it wasn't looking good. In the 22nd minute another free kick just outside the area for Levante and upstepped Ruben to fire in a low shot that made it through the Cadiz wall and passed a diving Casilla, who looked as if he should have done better but it put the visitors one up. Still Levante dominated and they could have doubled the lead when Juanlu header a centre from Angel into the side netting, that was followed by another shot from distance by Angel that Casilla was alert to. Cadiz were only able to trouble Manu in the first half when Nano took a free kick from over 25 yards out that bounced straight into the keepers hands, Toedtli tried a speculative shot that was way over the bar. Then just a minute before half time a corner from the right for Levante was swung across into the middle of the goal area and Rodas easily beat Mansilla to the ball to powerfully head the ball home to make it 0-2 going into the break.

Just four minutes into the second half and the visitors were reduced to 10 men when Xisco picked up a second yellow card after he had fouled Jaume and suddenly there seemed to be a chance that Cadiz could get back on terms with the numerical advantage. A few minutes later and things were certainly starting to look brighter for los amarillos after the referee gave a very dubious looking penalty decision to los amarillos when Enrique was way off the mark from a header but went down after he had headed the ball through a challenge from behind. Toedtli stepped up and coolly slotted the ball wide of Manu who had dived the wrong way to make it 1-2. Hopes were now high with the cadistas that their side would get something out of the match but despite being a man down Levante continued to press forward and in the 64th minute they went 1-3 up when Juanlu had a left footed effort blocked but the ball came back to him and this time he curled a right foot shot wide of Casilla and in by the far post. In his goal celebrations the Levante forward lifted the front of his shirt over his head to show off a message written on his vest and was promptly yellow carded by the referee and was soon taking a long stroll to an early bath as he had already picked up an earlier yellow and so the visitors, although now being 1-3 up, were down to 9 men with still more than 25 minutes to play. Three minutes later and los amarillos were back to just one down when Toedtli managed to dive to connect with a ball going wide to get his second of the game and once again raise the hopes of the Carranza. Regrettably it was not to be on a quite incredible night as Abraham and Ramis, making his debut for Cadiz, tried but failed to get an equaliser and worse, much worse, bearing in mind that the visitors were two players down, in the 83rd minute Levante had two players breaking from the halfway line against just two Cadiz defenders Mansilla and Alvaro Silva, who are not the quickest around, and Jorda was able to race into the Cadiz box and easily beat Casilla to make it 2-4 and that was that. No way back now and a great display by the visitors saw them take the spoils and the three points that Cadiz so desperately wanted after the last two good results away from the Carranza.
