The only change to the starting line up this week is an enforced switch with Diego Rivas returning after injury to replace the suspended Fleurquin.

This was always going to be a tough encounter with the Galician side another that was relegated from the Primera Liga last year to make it two recent Primera Liga sides in as many weeks. The game started with both teams playing at full pace but this lead to the play being pretty scrappy with neither team getting hold of the ball for very long and most attacks ended with a long ball forward. In the fifteenth minute one such ball was pumped into the Cadiz area and Cannobbio went down under pressure from Raul Lopez and immediately claimed a penalty but the referee was having none of it and waved play on. Both teams had good long efforts easily dealt with by their respective keepers but on two occasions in the first half Dani found himself in the area with good opportunities to score. On the first occasion a good cross by Lobos from the right was headed strongly with a brave diving header, as the keeper came out to claim the ball, but Dani's header was too high. The second chance was easier and the ball was loose at the far post where Dani had the goal at his mercy but from a pretty tight angle he rather rushed his left footed shot and also put the ball over the bar. It wasn't all Cadiz efforts however and in fact the best chance of the half came from a Celta free kick from just outside of the box that Cannobbio curled with his right foot and the ball thundered into the crossbeam where the post and bar connect and away to safety with Contreras well beaten and the first half ended as it had started at 0-0.

The second half started in much the same vane but then Antonio Calderon made a double substitution after only 12 minutes had passed in the half taking off Rivas, who had collected a couple of knocks, and Nano, sending on Parri and Gustavo Lopez. Within minutes of the changes Cadiz were ahead when a couple of defensive slips resulted in the central defender trying to hook the ball to safety as the keeper came out to collect it. Unfortunately for the defender the ball came off his shin and spun away to the right where Dani was free and he calmly waited for the ball to bounce before nodding it over Pinto, the Celta keeper who was trying desperately to get back into a position to make a save, and into the empty net. Los amarillos were now in control of the game and passing from the back to feet with Gustavo Lopez showing some super touches to get round the right back and it looked as if there were more goals to come. Indeed there were but it was for the visitors when in the 71st minute Perera took a free kick from about 25 yards out and fired it in towards the penalty spot looking for one of his players to nod the ball in but it missed everyone, including the Cadiz defenders and went straight into the goal past the despairing dive of Contreras to bring Celta back on level terms and suddenly there was a complete silence in the stadium.

FotoThis Cadiz team now looks to be a much more resilient outfit and are playing more and more as a team, with the new signings at the start of the season, now looking as if they are fitting in well with the Cadiz style of play. Soon they were pouring forward again looking for the winner and the crowd weren't silent for long as they got behind their team and just five minutes later a cross from the right was well caught by the leaping Pinto but as he crashed to the ground the ball bounced out of his grasp and ran loose and Dani was first to react to prod the ball into the empty net to make it 2-1 to Cadiz and the way that the team were playing surely the points were now in the bag. However the visitors would not lie down and through everything forward looking to try and take at least a point from the game and when the referee adjudged that Bezares had fouled a Celta player less than a yard outside the box the whole crowd feared the worst. The ball was rolled to the right where a shot was then powered goalwards but the ball cannoned into an onrushing Cadiz defender and bounded away to safety. A few minutes later, just before the final whistle, Celta again broke forward and this time they managed to play through the usually impenetrable Cadiz central defense leaving Rubens with just Contreras to beat but the Cadiz keeper was up to the challenge and did well to block the effort. The ball ran loose to the right of the Cadiz area and Paz was able to collect the ball he noticed Lobos near the halfway line and pinged the ball forward and Lobos knocked the ball past the only defender in front of him and raced to try and get to the ball first. He managed to just get the ball under control as another defender also raced to wards him and slid the ball square to Casas who had made good ground in the centre. He calmly took one touch and coolly slotted the ball past Pinto to make it 3-1 to Cadiz in the final minute of the game.

That makes it 4 wins, 2 draws and only 1 loss in the last 7 games for a rejuvenated Cadiz who are now playing as a unit and are still in with a chance of getting into the promotion hunt.
