A product of the Cadiz youth team, Velazquez has proved himself to be a reliable right back, and is always keen to overlap and assist when the team attacks. In the last 4 seasons he has played 138 games, and 5 red cards in his first 2 seasons were the only reason he wasn't ever present, although he managed to improve his discipline for the promotion season of 2003/04 and played 40 games. He has only managed 2 goals for Los Amarillos. Last season he went on loan to Lorca where he played 14 games but has now returned to Cadiz.  Only a bit part player last year behind first choice Vella and with the signing of Cristian has been sold to local Segunda B outfit, Racing Club de Portuense.
