Medina spent the first 7 years of his career in Uruguay before making his move to Europe by signing for Cadiz at the start of last season. He ended up playing 19 games for Cadiz in the Primera Liga, scoring 4 times with 10 assists. He is a committed player with good ability with both feet and in the air, which his scoring record doesn't do him justice. With new signings coming in Medina has been sold to Racing Ferrol for the 2007/2008 season.
