Enrique played most of his
early career in the Segunda B division, with Algeciras, Maracena, Motril (3rd
Division), and Cacereño before signing for Cadiz in the middle of the 2003/04
season. He mainly featured as a sub in the remaining fixtures that season, but
this term has seen him given his chance, and he seemed to get better as the
season went on. A petty red card away at Malaga B for 2 innocuous fouls threatened to
let Dani Navarette back into the team, but unfortunately for Navarette he suffered a
knee injury in the following game allowing Enrique to return from suspension
and go straight into the team. He grabbed the chance with both hands, and
when the tension grew towards the tail end of the season, Enrique produced
numerous Man of the Match performances from the right wing, including against
Xerez when he won the second half penalty. Struggled to get into the team at
the start of last season but his hard work finally paid off when towards the
end of the season he was used more and more. Has looked sharp this year during
pre-season and will surely figure in most of the games this year. After a good
start to the 2007/08 season he failed to continue that form throughout the
year and was regularly substituted. Has remained at Cadiz despite the
relegation to the Segunda B.
