Cesar Caneda is a new signing this season from second division outfit Eibar. Although most of his career has been spent with Athletico Bilbao where he played for 7 of the 10 years of his career so far. Moved to Eibar last season where he was a regular in the first team playing 40 games, scoring 3 goals and assisting in another 8. Due to the injury to club captain Paz, at the start of last season, Caneda formed a good partnership with De Quintana at the heart of defence. This season there is plenty of competition for places for the central defensive positions and he may well be used as left back.
