Diego Rivas is a 27 year old central midfielder signed from Real Sociedad. Rivas started his professional career in the lower teams at Athletico Madrid before being sold to Getafe in 2002, where he helped them gain promotion to the Primera Liga. He was then sent back to Athletico Madrid, on loan, during the 2003/4 season before returning to Getafe where he played 66 games in the Primera Liga. Last season he was transferred to Real Sociedad playing 26 times in the top flight.
