Chico is a local lad born in Cadiz, who has made his way through the ranks at Cadiz and now been called up to the first team squad for the 2006/07 season. He plays in the middle of the defence. With plenty of experience at the heart of the defence Chico has gone on loan for the 2007/2008 season to local Segunda B team Racing Club de Portuense. Signed by Barcelona in January 2008.
