Francisco CASILLA Cortes was born in Alcover in Tarragona. He started his professional career in the lower sides at Real Madrid but without breaking into the B team on any regular basisplaying on only 5 occasions in the two seasons that he was there. In 2007 he was acquired on a free transfer by Espanyol and played 4 games in the Primera Liga but again was unable to make the position his own. He has joined Cadiz on loan for the 2008/09 season and looks to be the first choice keeper.
